As I crawled into bed last night I debated over leaving the window that’s just above my head open.  The cool fresh air smelled and felt good.  I wondered though if it might not get too nippy sometime during the night and almost voted to close it then changed my mind and crawled in.  As the sun rose this morning to the east of my bedroom window the light filtered in and a myriad of bird song chorused into my consciousness.  Usually I awake to Dragon, my bearded dragon’s rustling around in his habitat, but I beat him up this morning thanks to the beautiful bird lyrics gracing this brisk and bright new morning.  I rose this morning with a pleasure induced smile on my face.  I am thankful for this wonderful morning I am experiencing. 

I am thankful for my daughters friends

I am grateful for my daughters voice. For my daughters wonderful husband and that I’ll be with them very soon.  One of Heather’s friends went through a very difficult birth yesterday and brought to the world a 9 lb 22 inch baby boy.  She is a very tiny little girl weighing in at all of 155lbs upon commencing labor.  I am so thankful that both baby and mom are healthy and doing just fine! Congradulations Audrey and Kyle on your new baby boy!

Heather’s friends are like an extension of my own family, they have embraced me every time I have visited.  Instead of  running off while Heather visits with her mother, they all hang around to do things together, or just drop in to say hi.  There is an entire ensemble of friends who are close to Heather and Malcolm and I have always felt that even though my baby girl has lived 10 hours away for the past 8 years, that she has been surrounded by people who take care of one another and that has given me immense  relief.  Heather being in Malcolm’s caring protection has brought me a certain peace.  I am thankful for Heathers husband and friends.

Lastly, I am so thankful that my boys, Prophecy and Paisano did not receive any injuries during their fiasco night before last.  Everyone came out of it just fine and unscathed.  Big sigh… of relief!!
