THANKFUL THURSDAY
I have a few simple things to be thankful for today.
April in Arizona – April in Arizona many years has turned off near the one hundred degree mark making for along and arduous summer. One hundred degrees in April means higher electric bills, and psychologically torments the mind as awareness sets in that we’re in for a long one. Well this year April has turned off cold, in fact one of the coldest days and nights since February came blowing through yesterday. I have been wondering why the horses have not shed out all the way yet. Horses living in the Valley of the Sun are always shed off slick by now. But not this year. It has been bothering me, as I wonder am I doing everything right? Did the wormer take? Yes I was thankful as I am sure the horses were that they had some hair left last night as it was down right nippy.
I am thankful that April has turned off a nice cool month. Even our April showers were just enough to water everything, cleaning the air and desert floor bringing freshness to everything without leaving the muck behind. Excellent!!
My Knee – I am thankful that my knee is healing, albeit slowly. I am finally able to get out with my horses and do some walking again. I’m so looking forward to each day I can get out with them and do some training and communing. Yesterday after I took Pro for his first driving lesson down the road, the ol’ knee decided to swell up and was pretty sore for most of the day. By evening it had recouped some of its soundness and today is feeling quite strong. It will have another go at it after awhile when I take Pai out for his turn at driving down the road. I am thankful my knee is holding up so that I can continue to train my horses and get some exercise in the process.
Hulu.com – Oh yes, Thank you Simrat for introducing me to Hulu.com. I now can spend even more time sitting here in front of my computer staring at the monitor screen. I do love getting my HOUSE fix and Hulu.com makes it easy to do. I’m looking forward to integrating Hulu.com into my computer/TV entertainment center once I get moved. Going to make the entire center based around the computer but with a large TV screen all set up like a movie theatre in my living room.
I can see it now, an occasional documentary, history and discovery, HOUSE (!!)…
OH MY G! I wasn’t ready for THAT!!! Hilarious… tears running down face, gut aching hilarious!!! I’m durn right thankful for the House crew and this clip!
… and where was I?
Oh yes, and my online family all wrapped up together in one welcoming place to hang out. Well in the winter months that is when I’m not working or doing things around the place. Folks will see alot less of me come summer I’m afraid as Colorado will be calling me to get some fishing done, horseback riding and training done, and some fresh food gathering done. Anyway I am so thankful for Hulu.com and the relaxing entertainment it offers to this computer geek.
