Thankful for all the possibilities in life.

Today I am thankful for weather.  For clouds, a light breeze, and for once only a few rays of sunshine.  Sunshine this time of year is bright and cheerful, but also heavy and demanding with its heat.

We have been having weather in the high 90′s to low 100′s.  I personally don’t mind it, but my horses are standing out in it without shades.  Their temperaments are reflecting how uncomfortable they are. Something I loath is seeing horses in (other) peoples care having to endure Arizona summers without proper shelter.  I have always provided proper shelter for my horses.  But this year because of the interim move we made to save money for our journey to Colorado the horses have endured weather.  Lots of it.  There is only 5 weeks left or there abouts and we’re off to Colorado. Paisano goes back to Oregon.  I am so looking forward to seeing Prophecy living in a cooler climate.  Anyway I am so relieved today!  Why you ask? Because we have 80 degrees outside, cloud cover and promise of rain.  The rain I can take or leave, but the cool temps mean my horses are feeling frisky and comfortable.  What a nice break for them.  It will make the next few weeks of 100 plus weather almost doable.

I am very thankful for my fitness.  This past winter I lost a lot of fitness do to the injury my knee sustained.  But yesterday I did the inches thing, and have lost several, plus my leg is feeling stronger. I am able to exercise now, power walking, and the muscle tone is returning.  YAY!!!  Tomorrow I begin a 10 day master cleans.  Personal goals, personal highs, personal thankfulness. I am happy that it is me who lives in this body, and it has served me so well.

A friend shared with me that someone in their family was recovering from cancer.  The person fighting the battle has my most powerful prayers going up.  What caught my attention though, was the message my friend revealed.  That they and their family member have chosen to live…  they are grasping onto their dreams letting go of the mundane day to day drudgery of life and daring to bring their dreams into focus and live them fully. I am so thankful that they have chosen this path. I am so thankful that this was brought to my awareness. It bolsters my own desire to move on and live life fully. To experience everything I possibly can.  I have another friend healing up from several surgeries.  They too are moving forward and daring to experience life more fully. My hope is that all of you who read this learn from these bold  and brave people.  Go live your dreams…  don’t wait until some event comes along to awaken you to the fact that it may be too late.  Man I am thankful for that message.  My powerful event was Kindlewood’s passing. What will it take for you?

Here is some food for thought. How to bring quality into ones life.  Turning to the heart.

I am thankful forhaving discovered the relationship between heart and mind many years ago. Now if I can keep them from arguing I’ll be doing fine!  ;)

Here is a wee bit of the other me…

I’ll be spending a lot of time with this gal. We’ll be smoking our food, (can you imagine home smoked fresh caught cold water trout!!)  Yumm ummm…  exploring red rock canyons, canoeing and fishing, maybe even writing a book or some other form of creative endeavor.  Meeting new people, cultivating new friends, stepping out.  Feel free to come join me anytime. What a wonderful life of exploration lays waiting ahead of us! The possibilities are endless.  Today I am thankful for possibilities!!!
