THANKFUL THURSDAY

It seems today is the day that my internet connection keeps wanting to  drop off every five seocnds or so. It’s been doing this for almost two months now. But today it seems to be off more than it’s on making doing any kind of work very difficult. Today I had planned for updating the SMR website. I am way behind and I’m sure folks are frustrated at waiting on me. I have tried to be timely with the updates. But this time I am miserably behind. Usually the intertnet connection improves as the day goes on and the wind outside settles a bit. So sometime today I will tackle the SMR website.  Right now as long as I don’t click any buttons I may be able to get Thankful Thursday written and during a moment of cyber-space lucidity actually get it posted. So here we go…

1) I am thankful that Paisano had a safe and uneventful trip back home to Simrat.  I am thankful that she thought he was returned to her in good shape.

2) I am thankful that Kathy came along for Pro and that we are making headway to getting him hauled out to the Cayuse as a stay over prior to going home to Kathy’s place.  As much as I worry about him not respecting their fences, I know it will be good for him to run across the prairie and brawl with the other young studs in the bachelor band.

3) I am thankful that this cold is about over and that even though the monetary toll has been huge in terms of not being able to work, I embrace the reality of where I am today and know that whatever happens I ‘ll be fine and that my move is under way. I will go buy my tubs to pack with today and will begin a new purging process as I choose what gets to go and what gets to stay behind. I love purging, it is so cleansing and refreshing.

4) I am thankful that the new Outdoorsman & Outdoorswoman Writers Series  seems to have taken off. I am excited to see where this project will take the blog in the future.

5) I am thankful that I have a job when I move to Silverton.  Oh, and I have a new queen size mattress and box-springs waiting for me.   That’s pretty cool since I’m leaving old faithful behind.

6) My knee is almost completely healed.  It’s funny a friend suggested to me that my knee seemed to begin giving me trouble about the time I agreed to buy Paisano.  I’m thinking about the same week in-fact. Its funny how it continued to get worse until I chose to return Paisano at which point it began to heal up. Now that Paisano is back where he belongs my knee is almost 100%.  Just an interesting observation.

Finally I am thankful for all the people who have tried to help me through all the adventures my life threw at me this past couple of years.  Some of those attempts to help worked out and some didn’t. But I appreciate every single one of you for trying.  Thank You.

Would you believe the internet has not bobbled once since I began this post.  Now lets see if we can get it posted.
