Empath

Tuesday, 31. May 2011 17:25

There are many different types “levels” and combinations of empaths. Below I’ve listed five that I myself have developed to some degree.  There are many people in the world who are empathic by nature. In fact I believe every person is empathic to some degree or another.  Its not some woo woo special gift.  It a genetic code pure DNA that is passed onto generation to generation just as other DNA is passed on.  It comes in varying degrees and true some folks may not inherit the ability or the full genetic load of the ability.

Most folks who realize they may be empathic normally do not acknowledge it until later in life.  People who all of a sudden gain deep wisdom, become healers, animal communicators, readers, seers, or just people with a good sense of intuition.  I was aware of my ability early on and because of it spent most of my time with empathic beings… mostly animals.  Thus I have never been a good conversationalist.  With animals there is no need for words.  In communicating with animals people use words out of innate hard wiring of brain.  Totally unnecessary, as animals will freely share and understand based on the feelings, visuals, and intuitive that mingles via “through one another”.

For many years I closed my self off to people as they are very rude (unintentionally), not knowing their feelings and thought energy is bombarding those who are more sensitive.  Unaware that I know if they like me, or not, or if they believe what I’m saying or not, or if they are lying or keeping things from me.  It’s really hard to open up to people and receive, because sometimes their energy sends messages that can taint how you feel about them.  I work very hard to let those tainted images go, and to close off as much as I can when around people so that I’m not put into  a place of knowing.  Its not mind reading.  I have no idea what thoughts are being formed in another persons head.  I do though get visuals or a knowing that becomes attached to a certain context.  Sometimes I become aware when someone else has a thought of me. No idea what they thought, but I become acutely aware of them and the mingling energy.

Until recent years I have not told anyone of this.  As I wanted friends. Unless people truly understand empathy they get all defensive and worried that they are being spied upon.  So it’s been such a lonely world.

When I find someone I know is empathic, normally they are unaware (most of the human population), if I try to approach them in an empathic manner they usually run.  I get so excited when I finally get to talk to somebody who understands, but quickly get bored as the conversation is about being empathic, and not just simply communicating via empathy.  I guess we are all lonely… those of us who chose to grasp our empathic abilities and dare to go public.

Living with empathy was a normal day to day lifestyle for me when growing up and was talked about as if just day to day life. I remember my grandmother would be in her kitchen  baking when I’d come to visit her on the weekends and out of the blue she’d say “your Aunt Carroll is going to call”. Low and behold 15 minutes later Auntie Carroll called.  My mother often would say “I wonder what your aunt or your grandmother is doing today?”, and within minutes which ever one she mentioned would call. They shared Telepathy all of their lives.  I seem to have missed out on the Telepathy or I think some times just have not developed it.  What I have is Intuitive, Intellectual, Animal, Seer, and Healer “levels” of Empathy. Since I live alone anyway, I’m leaning toward just diving deeper into the ability to see just where I can go with it.

Intuitive Empathy: is to sense or feel within ourselves, attitudes or emotions from others.

Intellectual Empathy: where you know what was meant to be said or what was not said in totality during conversation, as the words being used were not telling the complete story.  The story regardless is clear.

Seer: the ability of seeing where emotion(s) come from, what is causing the emotion(s),  while increasing feelings as to why, and resulting in confirmation. Receiving visions of a scenario.

Healing Empathy:  body reading, where one can either sense or feel something that is not correct in the body. In some cases suggesting a person seek medical help, if not something that can be easily dealt with through hands on massage, emotional  or physical cleansing, chiropractic, acupuncture or other non evasive forms of assisting the body to heal itself.

Animal Empathy: the gift of communicating with animals and understanding their needs. To understand what it is to be that particular animal.

Now to dive in and see how much juice (how loaded my DNA is) I really have beyond what some times complexes me already.  I invite every reader of this note and my blog as I’m going to re-post this there as well to dig a little if you have not already.  Check to see if you are allowing for your empathic nature to surface and if so to thrive and to bring a new kind of wisdom to your lives.

Truth vs Illusion

Using myself (my life’s experience) as a measure of how to obtain balance and breath in happiness every day including fulfillment in the life being lived, the secret I believe is in simplicity.  Also humility, lack of greed, stayed pride (checking ones pride into submission), along with a conscience effort to be gentle. Not just being gentle to each other and not just to the world at large, but specifically to Mother. Allowing good judgement to over-ride poor judgement.

Many times poor judgement is powered by “I want it to be – So I’ll make it be”.  An absolute walk down the Black Path. Bolstered by ” I can make it be so if I try hard enough”.  Not that having goals, dreams and desires is bad. They are not and we should strive toward making them come true.   True?  That is the pivotal point of this discussion.  What is true for the Black Road is an illusion. We never see it coming until it hits us usually knocking us down changing everything as we know it.  We worked so hard for it too.  For most Walking The Red Road means giving up the illusion of what we think we want.  With that sacrifice comes peace creating genuine fulfillment. With it the Red Road appears luminous before us.

My estimation of the Red Road or the correct Path to walk is many things:

1) we choose to walk it.

2) we were born to walk it.

3) we were forced upon it.

Explanation: We choose to make correct decisions based on living a humble and simple life choosing to be stewards of Mother and each other and all creatures.  It is believed that he Red Road is our destiny. That we were born to walk it and that we many times fall off of it.  This I believe is true. Many times we walk paths that we believe we are meant to walk only find that they come to an abrupt cliff edge leaving us teetering or falling into the depths. Why? Because those Paths were only meant to prepare us for the true Red Road. Sometimes we find ourselves walking Paths we did not choose for ourselves and again they end abruptly at some point  forcing us to finally make a choice against opposing forces striving to make that choice for us. Bottom line is we have choices…

A message from “Republic of Lakotah

The RED ROAD vs The Black Road

There are many roads in life, but there are two that are important; the Red Road and the Black Road. They represent good and bad in every one’s life. It’s the two choices people have to make frequently in life. The Red Road is the good way, the good side, and the right choice. It is a road that is difficult with dangers and obstacles that are hard to travel on. The Black Road is the bad way, the bad side, and the wrong choice. The Black Road is wide and easy to travel. The Red Road and the Black Road appear in our lives not as roads but as the personifications of right and wrong, good and bad, light and dark.

The Lakota never were known to accumulate material goods. It was never done in pursuit of wealth; it was done to get around hard times or to help someone who ran short. Generosity has its rewards. The lack of it has its consequences. It was not practical for a nomadic people to accumulate too much because it only meant more to haul when the camp moved, which could be up to three or four times a year. The more you owned, the more you hauled.

Truth is the marker along the roads we travel in life. The Red Road has many markers. If you choose the Black Road, there is only the illusion of truth. We can be influenced by the truth or by illusion. Sometimes truth is like the wind.  You cannot see it, but you can see the effect it has. Truth is also like the sunrise and sunset. We see the sun come up over the eastern horizon in the morning and then disappear behind the western horizon in the evening.  From the perspective of our existence on a spinning globe, the sun appears to “rise” and “set.” In reality the sun does neither. Living a humble and giving life keeps one on the path of the Red Road…

Singing In The Rain

Thursday, 1. January 2009 16:12

Laura sent me some pictures today of Spirit visiting with his farm mates and running around in his pen.  Her report was quite warming too.

“yes I am really pleased with him, I can just see so many possibilities with him, he has the potential to shine in any sphere, I am tempted to drive him as I think he would exell . on the other hand he will be lovely to ride.”

“Spirit is happy , confidant and outgoing but still gentle and as long as he is treated with respect he is happy to be handled by all the family. in fact we are all squablling at the moment over who gets to work with him and considering we have 10 horses I guess thats kudos for spirit.”

“Illusion has been bred to Sage but will now spend the next few years living full time with spirit.”

A nice pic of Spirit and Sage checking each other out!

This is exactly how I thought Spirit would be for Laura and her family and lifestyle.  He looks so happy and so much more comfortable in the cool wet weather.  He ended up so lucky!!!  It really does my hear good!  Helps make this transition Im going through much easier to know he is happy  and content with his own mare.

I love this pic -  it so fully depicts Spirits nature – “The BLACK” who is a true partner in life.

Not too many mature stallions would tolerate a bred mare with out running her to death or getting beat up by her.  But Spirit although a very capable stallion has always been so easy and kind with his mares and learned early on to respect them.  So again a perfect match for Laura’s plans which allow him the Life of Riley in his new home.  YOU GO SPIRIT!

The Spirit of Bear Paw is Finally Home

Thursday, 1. January 2009 16:08

The Spirit of Bear Paw,  not named for how spirited he was or how magnificently he expressed his stallionism, but for the depth and quality of his soul, has finally arrived in England and is settling into his new home having had a romp and introductions to some of his Spanish Mustang herd mates.  He get’s a Donkey for a buddy for the winter and a nice warm stall.

I can stop worrying now.  Man I miss you Bubba!

I received an email today from Spirits new owner telling me that he is on his way to Amsterdam and will rest there for a few days until she can pick him up on Monday!  He is almost home!!!!
She also shared pictures of him taken before he embarked on his journey over The Pond.

His owner also shared that the quarantine folks said that he was their favorite Spanish Mustang so far and was quiet and easy to handle even around the mares.  That’s just Spirit!  Warm, kind, respectful.

Good Luck in all your endeavors with Spirit!
